Important notes (avoid expensive mistakes)
- CYA is hard to remove. If you overshoot, the fix is usually partial drain/refill.
- Add in stages. Dose ~75% first, circulate 24–48 hours, then retest and top up.
- Don’t backwash/clean filters for 24–48 hours after adding stabilizer (you can lose product).
- Never pour stabilizer directly into the skimmer without a sock if you can avoid it—undissolved granules can sit in plumbing.
